Corporate Designs & Logos

On top of doing my own illustrations and some freelance character design, I've also got some corporate logo suites under my belt. Here is a gentle smattering of past works. From most recent to moste anciente:

This is a piece I did for Hemophilia Foundation of Oregon last month. HFO had recently changed their address and phone information, but the original artwork for the logo and envelope design had been lost. Using a photocopy of one of the old envelopes as a guide (1) a digital master was made with Photoshop (2).

Here you can see detail of the shape the original copy was in (above). Now HFO has the ability to affix their new, correct logo and design to printed and digital materials at will.

A recent newspaper ad done for local Portland-area singing group, Portland Vocal Consort, announcing their spring concert. I have worked with PVC since its inception, designing their logo, CD packaging and letterhead.

The CD inlay and booklet designs for PVC's freshman album: Overture.

 PVC's official letterhead.

A client in South Korea wanted a whimsical, cartoon-ish design for some tickets he was printing out as behavioral incentives to use in his rather rambunctious English class. The class is now well-behaved. Draw your own conclusions.

Logo and business card design for a client in the organizing business. She was looking for something that represented her ability to be a solid, reliable source of organizing power amidst the clutter and mayhem of her client's disorderly business spaces.

First Post Ever!

This is just a preliminary post to introduce myself and my work. I'm Geoffrey Dean, and this is my portfolio. I've been a "draw-er" for pretty much the entirety of my 31 years alive, having first fallen in love with the work of Charles Shulz's Peanuts gang. I discovered one way to express my love for the cartoons was to draw the characters myself and draw I did. From there it just got out of control and I drew on everything with a blank surface (sorry about the walls, Mom.)

Anyway, since then I've done everything from character design to clothing design to portraiture to life drawing.

So without further fuss, here are a few of my pieces (for your consideration):

Design for a potential future project.
